Physical: Athletic, projectable 6-foot, 180lb frame. 7.22 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wider stance with some bend in the knees; hands play rhythmically by the shoulder. Utilized a short leg lift stride to initiate the swing through an uphill path towards a shallow finish. Sticks the back leg with minimal extra rotation, allowing for a middle of the field approach and some line drives into the green. Posted a T86 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak.
Defensively: The middle infielder featured semi-stiff hands out in front, showing off the live arm into the 80 mph range from a H ¾ slot. Developing range to either side while bending at the waist.
Pitching: RHP. The righty started from the middle of the rubber, lightning quick arm from H ¾ slot after getting to a balanced stack. Carved in his two inning look, dodging barrels with 82-84, T85 mph FB and hard-sweeping 68-71 mph CB. Bulldog mentality, changing eye levels in advantage counts, mixed fading mid-70’s CH too.
Demonstrated a long and lean 5-foot-9, 147-pound frame with room to fill out and add strength as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins from a narrow, slightly open stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride. Swing showed some length as it whipped through a slightly uphill path generating some lift to the pull side gap. Notched a 72 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice and ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. The middle infielder featured active footwork that beat the ball to the spot with regularity. Played with a low center of gravity allowing for range to the glove side. Recorded an accurate 72 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a hitchy, high ¾ arm-slot. The right-handed pitcher sat 70-73 T75 out of a high ¾ arm-slot with a slight pause on the takeaway. Repeated well allowing for all pitches to pound the strike zone. Mixed in a 64-65 mph curveball that lived down in the zone with depth and 11/5 shape. Showed comfortability throwing a 65 mph changeup with late depth and advanced arm-speed.
