Grip Strgth (RH)
Grip strength is a measure of a players bat control and ability to transfer power and speed during impact, measured in pounds of force generated; collected with elbow bent at 90 degrees.
Physical: Wiry projectable 5-foot-10, 150lb build. 7.72 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Upright, shoulder-width stance, as the hands showed rhythm at a lower position to start. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path that engages the arms for leverage. Delivered a T79 mph exit velocity via Trackman with a mostly pull-side approach, working up to a 264 foot distance. Developing XBH skill set.
Defensively: The primary outfielder arrived with quality angles around the ball, towards the target. Showed full surface area in the glove-hand, playing softly off his right side. Accurate 74 mph arm-strength positionally.
Pitching: LHP. Southpaw begins off the middle of the rubber; deep drop-step and creates some hip-coil at the stack. Unwinds out of quick ¾ slot for 70-72 mph FB with hard run in on lefties, varying command. Added a lateral 61-62 mph SL into the 18 inch HM range (1954).
