Physical: The recent Slippery Rock commit stands 6-1, 170lbs with ready athleticism in the actions on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - The righty worked from the stretch only with tons of separation and flexibility in a lengthy/athletic arm-swing with no restrictions. Raced down the mound out of a high stack position with lots of momentum into the strike zone. Sat 88-90 mph on the FB with moderate spin numbers (2000 average) and low carry rate (13.8 inches IVB average) in on the hands of righties with ability to pitch to both sides, mixing a sharp 69-72 mph breaker with hard horizontal shape (15.7 inches max). A 76-78 mph CH was thrown with confidence, fading away from LHH and landing in advantage counts. Feel for three and attacks repeatedly, high-ceiling prospect as he continues filling out.
Physical: Ultra lean and athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with present athleticism. 7.29 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Tall, even stance with hands that work through the baseball well, Hands start at the shoulder and move into a deep load before launching coupled with a long lift-and-replace stride . The swing is long at times and can be pulled through the zone, but the lower half works aggressively and plays low to the ground. Enters the hitting zone through a flat barrel path ending with a high finish. Swing played primarily to the middle/pull-side with consistent barrels allowing for an 85 MPH exit velocity during batting practice per Trackman.
Defensively: Plays with methodical actions demonstrating average footwork during defensive evaluations. Glove hand works slightly to the side playing through the ball and uses lower half strength after fielding to generate hand speed on release. Registered accurate throws out of a low ¾ arm-slot from OF - 79 mph.
Pitching: RHP utilized a slow tempoed, precise rhythm with slight hip coil allowing for command on most pitches. The righty sat 77-83 mph with quality command on the FB out of a low ¾ arm-slot showcasing present arm-side run, worked a 63-64 mph CH that landed for strikes here and there featuring late fade.
The 5-foot-11, 153-pound primary right-handed pitcher showcased a long and lean frame with present athleticism in his actions. The righty sat 76-79 mph out of a funky low ¾ arm-slot with slight hip-coil producing natural arm-side run with sinker action. Featured a 61-63 mph curveball showcasing sharp biting slider movement across the zone. Mixed in a 66-68 mph changeup that was flat at times thrown with adequate sell. The left-handed hitter begins with a tall, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showed raw athleticism in his swing with sink into a twitchy lower half. Generated solid top hand drive through a slightly uphill barrel path yielding a 76 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. The outfielder flashed average footwork playing with momentum towards the target with regularity. Demonstrated a soft glove hand and occasional quality transfers allowing for an accurate 68 mph arm-strength out of the same low ¾ arm-slot.
