Physical: 5-foot-11, 165 pounds; Proportional, athletic build. 7.29 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with a heel lift for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 84 MPH via Trackman. Impressive hand speed as a freshman, averaged 21.6mph via blast. Consistent round, promising young hitter.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while being aggressive. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 87 MPH. Aggressive defender in the OF with easy velocity as a freshman.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; low 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 82-86 MPH; straight action. CB: 70-72 MPH; showed depth. SL: 74 MPH; lateral action. High velo freshman with plus spin on both breakers. CB is a promising off-speed pitch under development.
