Physical: Athletic, durable, 5-foot-8, 160lb frame. 7.32 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, open stance, as the hands showed comfortability in their pre-set position. Utilized a toe-tap stride to initiate a well-connected, flat path into the hitting zone that sprayed line drives wherever it was pitched. One-handed or two-handed finish depending on the cut, and never tried to do too much. Sequenced properly producing a low effort T82 mph bat-exit velocity. Delivered multiple XBH in gameplay.
Defensively: The backstop featured quick hands and pocket awareness on the receive. Pop times ranged between 2.12-2.15, sticking the back foot in the ground and getting rid through a H ¾ slot. Able to use the turf at times accurately, then slid over to the middle infield with up tempo footwork. Made all the plays including on the run, across his body from a lower release. Grabbed an 82 mph on his best rep.
Physical: Compact, athletic 5-foot-8, 170lb frame. 7.38 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, open stance, as the hands operated pre-set above the shoulder. Utilized a short toe-tap stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards a quick, high two handed finish. Features plus barrel awareness and good direction at the plate, finding green in the middle of the field up to a T87 mph bat-exit velocity (33% sweet spot rate). Top of the order type that doesn’t strike out much. Just starting to find his power stroke.
Defensively: The catcher displayed soft hands while receiving and smooth mechanics in the lower half on catch/throw. Did not throw on this date, but has been an accurate arm in the past on the bag. Slid over to shortstop and maintained leverage on the ball, attacking out in front with some pace in the feet. Sure of himself in space.
