Butera

Butera is a 5-foot-10, 155-pound OF/RHP who attends Malvern Preparatory School.  Early in his sophomore year, he was planted in the 3-hole for the defending Inter-Ac champs.

1/20/14  Butera is a 5-foot-11, 165-pound two-way prospect that only worked out as an outfielder. He showcased athletic actions in the outfield and an 85 mph arm with above average carry to home plate. Butera ran a 7.06 60-yard dash on a very slow track, but has run 6.75 several times in the past year. The right-handed hitter utilized an open stance with a lift and replace stride foot to make consistent hard contact during his round of batting practice. Butera stays inside the baseball well and showed a bat exit velocity of 75 mph. The junior went 8-1 on the hill last season, but only worked out as an outfielder at this event.
