Physical: The recent Monmouth commit stands an athletic 6-foot-3, 175lbs with above-average feel for his body. 6.92 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance at a slightly bent position to start. Utilized a controlled toe tap stride to initiate the swing through a flat, highly accurate path into the hitting zone. Noticeable bat to ball skills with minimal swing/miss, creating flush contact at the front of the plate with good leverage. Demonstrated a natural feel for the LCF gap with big time juice on the inner half, staying short and extending for a T89 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball. Tight turns and quick hands allowing him to handle velo and produce consistent results, notching a 50% line drive rate and 324 foot batted ball distance. Top of the order traits available.
Defensively: The primary shortstop flashed advanced footwork, stalking the ball downhill with on time rhythm and natural pace across the diamond. Funneled accurately and the throw was on its way accurately to the target from H ¾ slot (82 mph arm, two shuffles, carry). Able to range in either direction with a smooth, soft glove hand playing low to the ground and made plays on the run look routine.
