Hirt is an athletic 5-foot-7, 150-pound prospect who turned in a 4.13 home-to-first time. Hirt has good feet and a 78 mph arm across the infield. He displayed the ability to play through the baseball and has a quick release that comes from a low 3/4 arm angle. Hirt has made adjustments at the plate this winter that have resulted in improved results. He showcased a 74 mph bat exit velocity and the ability to square the baseball consistently during his round of batting practice.

1/5/13 Hirt displayed his athleticism and speed by running the 2nd fastest home-to-1B time of the day at 4.37. Hirt showcased top velocities of 79 mph from the outfield and 74 mph from the infield. He displayed soft hands and good range with a low 3/4 delivery on throws across the infield. Hurt barreled the baseball consistently during his round of batting practice with a bat exit speed of 73 mph.
