7/16/13 Smith ran a 7.59 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.20-2.25 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. Smith displayed a clean transfer, but will need to improve arm strength moving forward. The 5-foot-8, 150-pound left-handed hitter utilized a slightly open stance and fluid swing path to create a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Smith showed the ability to use all fields and barreled the baseball frequently during his round of batting practice.
