Physical: Strong, connected 5-foot-10, 195lb frame with power present. 7.64 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, narrow stance with the hands slotted at the shoulder at a 45 degree angle. Utilized a short, gradual leg-lift stride to initiate the bat head through a slightly uphill, vertical path into the hitting zone. Featured good rotational swings during BP, blocking off properly in sequence en route to a lofty 64% fly ball rate (via Trackman). Hit behind the baseball with backspin to the pull-side, producing a near 330 foot batted ball distance at his peak and a T93 mph bat-exit velocity. Smooth middle of the order intangibles with some efficiency and consistent bat-speeds in the box.
Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a calm glove hand at a left knee down setup in the crouch. Pop times ranged between 2.28-2.34 with pre-catch rhythm, working out and around the baseball in the hips, staying straight line to the target (good posture). A quicker release at shorter H ¾ slot allowed for a 66 mph arm strength on the bag.
