2/14/15 Built like a wrestler, with strength throughout his undersized frame, Babaie lifts and retreats his heel to stride. He has a simple, contact-oriented approach and stays inside the ball well. Defensively, he showcased solid hands and feet, plus an accurate, second baseman's arm from a low slot.

1/17/15 Babaie is a 5-foot-6, 170-pound right-handed hitter that starts from a square stance and a high hands load. The junior utilized no stride and a flat bat path to consistently barrel the baseball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Babaie's foot speed (7.54) and arm strength (74 mph) will likely keep him at second base at the next level. He flashed athletic actions in his defensive workout with the ability to throw from several arm angles. Babaie sat 73-74 from a 3/4 arm slot while touching 78 mph one time. He also showcased a 68 mph changeup at similar arm speed and a 63 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation.
