Physical: The recent Maine commit stands a projectable 6-foot-3, 215lbs with strength in the actions. 7.65 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Defensively: The outfielder featured adequate footwork, fielding off the left side of his body and exchanging smoothly at the waist with feel for the trigger at a lower ¾ slot at release. Got the chest downhill and finished throws allowing for accuracy on the target (84 mph arm, slight arm-side run).
Pitching: RHP - Started on the far right side of the rubber with some pace to the delivery. Gets the leg lifted slowly/gradually to the top of the stack before separating quickly and driving down the mound with intent through footstrike, releasing with big sink/arm-side run from low ¾ in on RHH hands, creating issues and weak contact on the FB (82-84, T85; 17 inches HM, strikes). Mixed a quality 67-69 mph SL with hard horizontal tilt for K’s when commanded. A 69-71 mph CH flashed AVG sell out of the hand, but showed the ability to consistently fade to the arm-side, boding well as a solid third offering in the future.
Physical: Strong / durable 6-foot, 180-pound frame with a starter’s build / physicality throughout the movements. 7.97 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with the hands starting out over the plate while showing slight circular rhythm. Utilized a deliberate move backwards with the hands to the shoulder coupled with a quick leg lift stride to initiate some stretch in the body upon land, initiated the hands through a whippy / high intent, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Had no issues lifting the ball immediately after impact getting deep through extension with strong wrists in the box. Showed the ability to get on time to the inner half pitch while staying inside the baseball, created loud contact to the pull-side with a peak bat-exit velocity of 94 mph according to Trackman Baseball / peppered the LCF gap with missiles during batting practice, could be a dangerous hitter down the line with impressive usage of the lower half. Defensively: The outfielder demonstrated long, active movements during defensive evaluations, stayed behind the ball hit in the air but came and got the baseball on singles while approaching off of the left side of his body, adequate footwork at the fielding window with a medium center of gravity, average footspeed probably signals a corner outfield spot at the next level. Live arm worked through an accurate, high ¾ slot with length to it. OF - 76 mph Pitching: RHP - Started from the middle-right side of the rubber, slightly above average pace in the delivery with a side rocker step into a medium-low leg lift that worked quickly towards the ground so the backside could jolt through, good direction with the body upon footstrike / keeps the arm back a long time and whips it through a ¾ slot with arm-side run on a 77-79 mph FB, up to 2190 spin per Trackman Baseball. Turned over a tight, 63-66 mph SL with 2100 spin getting ugly swings at times in the box, showed off a differently shaped 70-71 mph breaker with a more traditional 11/5 tilt to it.
Physical: 5-foot-11, 180 pounds; strong, sturdy frame. 7.92 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even narrow stance with upright bat; hands straight back with an even stride. Strong lower half with slight lift. Pull side approach with consistently hard hit balls; peak Trackman exit velocity of 89 MPH. Defensively: Low to the ground; active approach. seamless transfer; low 3/4 arm slot. OF - 75 MPH. Pitching: Arm-side set up, max effort delivery, coming downhill at the hitter. short arm action, low 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 80MPH, 77-80 MPH. FB has good arm side run. SL: SL has good horizontal break. CH: 70-73 MPH. CH has some fade & sink.
5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and uses a toe-tap stride to begin. Showcased balance throughout while creating consistent back spin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Showcased athletic defensive actions in the outfield with advanced 82 mph arm strength to home plate.
5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed pitcher sat 78-80 out of a low 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm and repeatable delivery. Changeup at 68-70 was thrown with good arm speed and showed some arm-side fade. Slider at 66-68 showed late break with 10/4 shape. Athletic frame and arm action are interesting and several jumps in velocity are likely moving forward.
5-foot-7, 140-pound primary right-handed pitcher sat 66-69 mph using a quick arm from a low 3/4 arm-slot. His 55-60 mph slider was tight and down in the zone. The righty featured a 58-61 mph changeup and was thrown with adequate sell. Right-handed hitter starts with a narrow, square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride with a lower half glide to initiate his swing. Showcased advanced feel for his hands with pop to all fields. Registered a 66 mph bat-exit velocity and recorded an 8.63 60-yard dash time. Played big in the outfield using a long arm to notch throws of 70 mph from his position.
