Physical: Solid and athletic 5-foot-9, 180-pound frame with strength throughout the movements. 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash. 7.03 runner in the 60-yard dash. Longwood commit.
Offensively: LHH. Balanced, slightly open stance with the hands showing circular rhythm above the shoulder in the setup. Quality hitter who initiates his swing using a controlled leg-lift stride with ability to keep his weight behind the ball, solid lower half drive, the hands worked through a slightly uphill barrel path while turning the bat head early in the swing, stayed on-plane with an adjustable / athletic lower half in the box. Mature hitter that looked seasoned at the plate, recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 94 mph according to Trackman Baseball / peppered the pull-side with hard contact at the front of the plate during batting practice / strong top hand that got through the baseball with authority.
Defensively: The primary backstop showed off a low crouch with above average receiving abilities / soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.15 using short and accurate straight line footwork towards the target / feel for catch and throw skills, high ¾ slot with a moderate, quick release. Worked hard to get his body around the baseball on either side of the plate while blocking, buried the glove in the dirt first. C - 75 mph
5-foot-9, 180-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Showed balance throughout with a feel for the barrel. Registered an 88 mph bat exit velocity and went 2-for-7 with a double in game action over two days. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.14-2.22 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. Sound receiver with a chance to be a run producing middle of the order bat in the future.
