Physical: Lengthy, projectable 6-foot-2, 185lb frame with a high-waisted build.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the right side of the rubber from the stretch-only in the delivery. Lifts the leg to a higher position above belt height, getting down the slope with good hip/shoulder separation and downward chest drive. Repeatable operation from a H ¾ slot that could create north to south action on the arsenal. Landed into a firm front-side phasing properly into release, as an 81-83 mph FB appeared heavy at the bottom of the zone (1652rpms via Trackman). Mixed a two-plane 66-68 mph CB with tough shape to RHH, creating weaker contact. Later added a different looking 67-69 mph SL thrown with more intent and bite across the plate (strikeout pitch, more confidence).
Physical: Strong, projectable and lengthy 6-foot-2, 185lb frame. 7.10 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, slightly bent stance with the hands on the shoulder to start; utilized a lift and replace stride on time with a barrel tip at the top of the load. A flat path launched into the hitting zone with feel for the barrel to the pull-side of the field. Found success on a line to LF (45% line drive rate via Trackman) while running up his max distance to 341 feet, backspinning the baseball at the front of the plate on occasion. Accurate hands and hit into a sturdy, consistent front side working up to a T92 mph bat-exit velocity during his batting practice round. Notched a couple hard barrels and added an extra-base hit during game action.
Defensively: The outfielder demonstrated a medium posture at the fielding window, bending at the waist and going chest over toes while using a soft glove hand off the inside of the left foot. Stayed behind the ball and got through it on time with adequate pace, yielding an accurate, lengthy high ¾ slot on the front side (83 mph arm, corner OF projection).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far right side of the rubber with a loose, fluid leg lift to a high position with pace/athleticism down the mound. Landed out towards the catcher with good stride length and operated with leverage through a full arm swing at high ¾. FB ranged from 83-85, T86 mph with some carry to the bottom of the zone, mixing a sharp 68-70 mph SL with up to 2346rpms (feel for spin) generating T17.7 inches of HM at its peak.
