Physical: 5-foot-10, 185LBS. 7.82SEC 60-Yard Dash.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, narrow stance that is slightly open. Hands are high and stay high during the load. Weight transfers to the rear leg during the leg lift. Long stride towards the pitcher with the head staying controlled throughout. The swing is slightly down to flat through the hitting zone with a high finish.
Defensively: Behind the plate shows solid mobility in the lower half. Works out of a two knee up stance. Hops into the secondary. Lets ball travel close to chest for the transfer at chest height. Abbreviated arm action that creates backspin on throw downs. At 3B works low to the ground and maintains a wide base. Moves side to side well. Showed the ability to throw on the run and had athletic actions throughout.
Showcased a large 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with physicality in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, open stance utilizing a toe-tap stride initiating a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Swing showed fluidity in the hands with some length, but generated occasional pull-side lift when contacting the ball out in front. Lower half displayed present weight shift while hitting into a stiff front side yielding a 79 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. The primary backstop featured adequate receiving skills with minimal glove hand movement at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.35-2.51 on accurate throws of 69 mph from the crouch out of a high ¾ arm-slot. Demonstrated average straight line footwork towards the target with minimal leg drive upon release coupled with average transfers on the backside. Flashed solid blocking ability beating the ball to the spot with the glove while creating soft walls on both sides of the plate. The third baseman played low to the ground yielding range to both sides and momentum towards the target. Registered an accurate 73 mph arm-strength across the infield from his position out of a high ¾ arm-slot.
