Physical: Strong and thickly built 6-foot, 180-pound frame with advanced feel for his body. 8.13 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wide, balanced stance as the hands bounce with rhythm pre load above the shoulder. A controlled lift and replace stride allowed the hands to initiate the barrel into the hitting zone through a smooth, slightly uphill path towards a high finish. Demonstrated feel for a short hand path creating quality direction towards the baseball as the barrel whips through contact creating lift to the LCF gap during batting practice. Hit into a stiff and adjustable front side showing the ability to sit on offspeed pitches and shoot them up the middle and to both gaps. Quality hitter with ability to win at-bats in game; recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 89 mph per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary catcher featured a low crouch with minimal glove hand movement at the catch point, consistently sticking the ball back into the zone. Pop times ranged from 2.01-2.09 utilizing short and directional straight line footwork towards the target, solid feel for efficient transfers, and the arm worked accurately on the bag out of a high ¾ slot out of a moderate arm circle. Used his big frame to get around the baseball early on blocks, the glove hand moved to the spot first getting down into the dirt. C - 71 mph
Physical: Sturdy, physical 6-foot, 180-pound frame with feel for his body and athleticism in the movements. 8.00 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Easy balanced setup with the bat resting on the shoulder and minimal hand movement pre launch. Utilized a controlled lift-and-replace stride and enters the zone with authority through a slightly uphill barrel path while hitting into a stiff front side. Plugged the left centefield gap more than a few times during a quality batting practice round which saw standout lower half strength in the swing. Registered a 92 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary backstop displayed good receiving skills with a soft glove hand and ability to beat the ball to the spot at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.03 in showcase setting on accurate throws out of an accurate high ¾ arm-slot. Used his length to move well laterally while blocking, creating downward chest angles with recovery ability on either side of the plate. C - 74 mph
5-foot-11, 190-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a heel-raise stride to initiate his swing. Displayed balance throughout with a feel for the barrel and a strong lower half. Registered a bat exit velocity of 85 mph and showed a middle of the field approach. Sound receiver showcased quick feet and a clean transition with above average carry on throws of 74 mph out of the crouch. Showed event best pop times of 2.12-2.18.
5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showcased balance throughout with a compact swing and the ability to use all fields. Registered a 79 mph bat exit velocity and ran an 8.39 60-yard dash. Showcased a top pop time of 2.32 on throws of 69 mph from the crouch.
