Physical: Compact, strong/athletic 5-foot-7, 165lb frame for the two-sport athlete (football). 7.33 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, wide attack at the shoulder-width showing some rhythm in the hands at the shoulder; utilized a short, quick toe-tap stride in order to initiate the swing through a strong, flat/rotational path into the hitting zone. Used the ground well in the box (near 20 G’s of rotational acceleration) while notching a peak of 74 mph bat-speed per Blast Motion. Featured a mostly pull-side approach with jump off the barrel down the LF line for hits (88 mph bat-exit velocity). Posted an impressive 61% line drive rate, flashing the obvious bat to ball skills, which made him dangerous during HS season.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured highly up-tempo feet and got over his toes with the chest early creating momentum; natural, soft hands that worked out in front, keeping the feet moving towards the target with consistency. Operated from right to left generating good pace during defensive evaluations and released from a high ¾, accurate slot (84 mph arm).
5-foot-5, 130-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showcased a short swing with a feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 73 mph and ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Displayed the ability to play through the baseball defensively with accurate 79 mph arm strength from the outfield.
