7/18/17 6-foot, 170-pounder appears to be in the early stages of his physical development with plenty of room to add to his athletic frame. The underclassmen impressed sitting 81-83 with hip coil to his delivery from a high 3/4 arm slot. Arm action is loose and fastball displays late sink. Boyan also displayed solid feel for three complimentary pitches including a splitter at 70 mph that has late tumbling action. A curveball with 11/5 rotation at 68-70 and a 75 mph changeup with good sell round out his four pitch mix. Boyan is an arm to follow in this class.
