Strong build at 5 foot 10, 180-pounds. Slightly open setup from the right side. Smooth load with a short stride. Loose hands with barrel whip through the zone. Slight uphill bat path with strength to both gaps. Above average bat speed with his exit velocity recorded at 92 mph. Works through balls in the outfield with average hands. Quick transfers to an over the top slot with his arm topping at 75 mph with some accuracy. Average hands on the infield with his feet working around the ball. Quick exchange with some accuracy to his throws across the diamond. Arm topped at 75 mph to first base. Recorded a 7.35 in the 60.
10/27/18 - 5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitter took one of the top rounds of batting practice on the day. He starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showed explosive lower half and strong forearms in consistently driving baseball to all parts of the field. Has shown an 87 mph bat exit velocity at previous events and ran a 7.01 60-yard dash on this date. Showcased pop times of 2.19-2.27 on throws of 73 mph from the crouch defensively.
1/14/17 - 5-foot-8, 155-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Displayed a solid feel for the barrel with above average barrel whip (82 mph bat exit velocity) and a pull oriented philosophy. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.50-2.65 on throws of 65 mph from the crouch. Defensive skills will improve with improved arm strength and work to shorten his transition.
