Physical: Highly athletic 6-foot, 183lb frame with legit two-way skill set. 7.24 runner in 60.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance, as the hands worked off of the shoulder to begin. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat rotational path towards a two-handed finish on the backside. Kept results lower height wise during this BP look, but extended for multiple hits in game action. Recorded T91 mph bat-exit velocity with a 40% line drive rate and more coming.
Defensively: The shortstop demonstrated active footwork and exploded to his left on the forehand rep for an 88 mph arm-strength across the diamond. Fluid, power slot that gets over the front side. Made the play on the run too.
Pitching: RHP - The righty featured developing pace that gained tempo as he made his way down the mound. Quick arm that blew fastball by hitters at 85-87 mph (2300+ spin rate). Also featured go-to 74-77 mph SL with hard lateral bite (2507 rpms) and strikeout potential.
Physical: Projectable, high-waisted 5-foot-11, 170lb frame with feel for his body. 7.55 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, open stance with a slight bend into the backside; lift and replace stride out towards the pitcher with a bow-and-arrow stretched position to the back shoulder. Launched through an accurate, slightly uphill path with lift to the pull-side of the field. Liked to get leveraged, extended out at the front of the plate allowing for loud contact at times (T87 mph, 43% fly ball rate via Trackman). Added a 306 foot batted ball distance on his best swing alluding to the ability to handle anywhere from 2-5 in the order with a mature approach/feel for the barrel.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured rangy, above-average actions with a low posture and strong base in either direction. Made a few impressive plays over the second base bag with ability to finish from a strong high ¾ “V-slot” that could vary depth based on time/intent. Worked up to T81 mph arm strength and will hold down a left side of the infield position moving forward.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber with athleticism on the bump; connected, moderately paced delivery that got to a high stack position with slight hip coil, moving down the mound on time from high ¾. FB entered at 80-82 mph (17 inches of IVB/carry and 2048rpms on average via Trackman). Later countered with a strong, horizontal SL at 72-74 mph getting up to T11 inches of HM and pounding the zone at a 63% rate.
5-foot-9, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a knee-to-knee stride to initiate his swing. Showcased a line drive approach with a middle of the field approach. Registered a solid 84 mph bat exit velocity and ran an 8.06 60-yard dash. Displayed the ability to play through the baseball routinely with accurate 71 mph arm strength. The righty sat 74-77 from a 3/4 arm slot with rhythm and balance to his delivery. Also showed a curveball with tight, short 11/5 break at 63-67 and a changeup with similar arm speed at 64-65.
