Offensively: LHH - Balanced, slightly open stance with the bat head showing “wagging” rhythm off of the shoulder and past the head. Quick hand speed (23.3 mph) coupled with a noticeable (20.2 G’s of rotational acceleration) points towards a possible increase in “doubles power” in the near future.
Defensively: The primary shortstop flashed athleticism during defensive evaluations, beating the ball to the spot with intent early in the routes. Banana routes present working in a C-like shape around the baseball and towards the target, galloped through the fielding window with a low posture and fired from a live, high ¾ slot (87 mph). Handled the play on the run with ease and ability to manipulate arm angles.
5-foot-7, 140-pounder showcased a well-rounded skill set that will only continue to develop as he adds strength to his frame. The left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a simple heel-raise stride. Showcased balance throughout with a feel for the barrel while staying behind the baseball routinely. Registered a 78 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Flashed active feet defensively with a soft glove hand and was comfortable making plays on the move. Showed the ability to remain on the left side of the infield long term with accurate 77 mph arm strength across the diamond.
