Physical: Stocky, muscular frame at 5-foot-11, 185lbs.
Pitching: RHP. Starts from the left side of the rubber; faster pace from a compact delivery down the mound. Feel for three pitches out of the same shorter H ¾ slot, attacking with a 77-80 mph FB to both sides (slight arm-side run) while mixing a 68-70 mph CB on an 11/5 plane. Added a killed 68-72 mph CH (1362) with lateral fade.
Physical: Strong, athletic 5-foot-11, 170lb frame with some projection left in the build. 7.39 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance at shoulder-width with a calm barrel operating loosely behind the neck. Utilized a leg hang to launch through a connected, flat path into the hitting zone allowing for good barrel control keeping the ball in the air during his batting practice round. Posted an impressive 80% line drive rate / 20% fly ball rate split via Trackman with an above-average, mature approach spraying hard contact from gap to gap. Worked his way up to a T85 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman and offered a seasoned offensive skillset.
Defensively: The third baseman featured a hop in the “prep step” arriving on time at a moderate postured position to the fielding window. Soft funnels and clean exchange to the beltline, releasing accurately from a fluid, high ¾ slot with ready pace in the approach. Handled plays to either side of his body and could manipulate arm angles (T76 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle/left side of the rubber with pace down the slope, getting to a lower, balanced stack position before driving out to the target; quick, medium ¾ slot that attacked with arm-side run on the FB at 80-83 mph (13 inches HM, 44% zone rate) adding a quality 72-75 mph SL with occasional, short two-plane shape and dropped in a commanded 71-73 mph CH for strikes too when needed (70% zone rate).
5-foot-10, 150-pound primary pitcher sat 78-80 from a high 3/4 arm slot. Showcased a short arm circle takeaway with a quick arm and balance throughout. Curveball at 67-70 showed short 11/5 breaking action while changeup sat 69-70 at near fastball arm speed. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing from a high elbow load with a lift-and-replace stride. A deep load leads to a significant arm bar. Registered a bat exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Displayed active feet an a quick release defensively with a similar short arm circle throwing motion. Played through the baseball routinely with 75 mph arm strength across the diamond.
