Physical: Strong, freakish 6-foot-2, 195lb frame with lots of projection and sky-high athleticism. 6.64 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Open, wide setup with the hands operating loosely at the shoulder to start with slight rhythm. Utilized a barrel tip/subtle slotted move to the shoulder coupled with a toe tap stride into a wide attack; initiated the hands through a flat path with plenty of lift after impact towards a high finish. Generated a 71% fly ball rate per Trackman Baseball with ability to get extended/leveraged at the front of the plate producing a 343 foot peak batted ball distance on a blast down the LF line. Sprayed hard contact over the LCF/RCF gaps and carried the momentum over to game action with a few hard 91 mph bat-exit velocities.
Defensively: The primary outfielder moved effortlessly in all directions, flashing natural instincts off the bat and with body positioning in space. Got downhill and around the baseball working in a straight line over the toes at the fielding window (accurate funnel/left side, soft glove hand). The arm worked loose, high ¾ with a full arm circle yielding carry on 88 mph arm strength. Projects to plug into any outfield position at the next level with skills that should translate to a future, above-average defender level.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle/left side of the rubber with a wide side rocker into a high, backleaning leg lift at the top of the stack; got down the mound with medium intent over the front side into foot strike, delivering from a fluid, high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 81-82 mph with feel for the arm-side when locating. Mixed a hard sweeping 68-70 mph CB showing slider-esque at times, countering with a 70-71 mph CH in the past.
Physical: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds; athletic, projectable build. 7.16 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, open stance with his weight on his backside; uses a bat waggle and a toe tap with a small stride for timing. average effort with uphill swing path; 18 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Mott is able to produce 10.3 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 60%. Fly ball approach to the pull side; average Trackman exit velocity of 76 MPH; peak exit velo was 93 MPH. Defensively: Starts in an athletic position; small, choppy steps on approach. fields the ball with two hands out in front of his body, clean transfer; long arm swing with a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 86 MPH.
6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Displayed a strong lower half with present pop and the ability to create consistent backspin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 86 mph and ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Showcased athletic actions defensively while playing through the baseball routinely with 90 mph arm strength from the outfield.
