8/19/16 Rife sports a towering 6-foot-7, 205-pound frame with room to add significant strength. Long arm action features a wrist wrap into a high three-quarter slot with some recoil. Repeated delivery fairly well early on with good extension, getting downhill with some sink for two innings before tiring and starting to elevate the ball. Fastball sat 82-84, touching 85, while he also incorporated a mid-70s change-up with good sell and a developing breaking ball at 76-77.

6/15/16 6-foot-7, 205-pound righty sat 81-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot and sound, repeatable mechanics. Fastball displayed arm-side run. Good rhythm to delivery and a feel for both 2-seam and 4-seam fastballs. Above average command of 78 mph slider and 72 mph changeup thrown at fastball arm speed. Athletic for size, velocity spikes likely in coming years as he grows into his frame and adds strength.

7/8/14 Rife is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound sophomore that barreled the baseball consistently from a square stance with a toe tap stride and a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. He displayed good footwork and a soft glove hand around the bag with a 67 mph arm across the diamond. Rife was named a top prospect at this event because of his projectable frame and his current abilities on the mound. The long limbed righty sat 79-81 while touching 82 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. He displayed repeatable mechanics and should continue to develop added velocity as his frame continues to fill out. Rife also showed a 73 mph 11/5 breaking curveball and 71 mph changeup with some arm side run.
