Physical: Lean, ultra-projectable 6-foot-2, 165lb frame with starter’s upside.
Pitching: RHP. Begins from the stretch-only off the left-most side of the rubber; utilizes some hip-coil at the top of the stack, as a compact delivery works effortlessly down the slope. Able to spin the ball efficiently at 85-87, T89 mph (2001) with hip/shoulder separation available from a H ¾ slot. Mixed a banger CB at 73-75 mph for swing/miss (-10 inches IVB) and showed similar success with a 73-74 mph SL on a horizontal tilt.
6-foot, 160-pound primary pitcher sat 83-85 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a balanced, repeatable delivery. Curveball at 68-69 showed 11/5 rotation with better depth from the stretch. Changeup at 74-76 is a quality third offering with arm-side run and sink. The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride.
