McConnon

McConnon is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound C/1B from The Haverford School. He was the starting catcher for the Fords as a freshman in their run to the PAISAA state title.

5/23/15 McConnon continues to mature defensively, as his quick exchange and accurate arm led to a 2.12 in-game pop time (and 2.06 in between innings). Solid build and runs well for his size and position (4.28 and 4.31 home-to-1B times).

11/1/14 McConnon showcased his athleticism by running a 7.04 60-yard dash. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound junior displayed above average receiving skills and flashed pop times of 2.15-2.19 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. McConnon starts from a slight crouch with a high hands load from the right side of the plate offensively. He uses a heel raise trigger with no stride and consistently squared the baseball during batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. 

6/25/14 McConnon showed a very accurate throwing arm, repeatedly putting the ball on the bag with pop times of 2.12-2.21 on throws of 71 mph from the crouch. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound right-handed hitter made consistent solid contact in game play showed some gap power out of a square stance during his round of batting practice. McConnon displayed his athleticism around the bag at 1B and turned in a solid 7.21 60-yard dash time.
