Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride while landing slightly open. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 84 MPH, while sitting 80-83 MPH; arm side run. CH: 71-74 MPH; fading action. OTHER: splt 64-70 MPH; .
Physical: Projectable, above-average 6-foot-2, 185lb frame. 8.00 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Wide, connected stance from even, as the hands start high. Utilized a controlled leg-lift stride with some hip-coil to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill, whippy path into the hitting zone. Created plenty of stretch at the plate and did damage when getting the arms extended for a T89 mph exit velocity. Showed off a fly ball approach (64%) to the pull-side.
Defensively: The third baseman featured a flat back at the hot corner with stalking footwork over the ball. Chopped the feet before setting up with an even base off the center of his body. Reached back for an 80 mph arm-strength out of a loose, accurate H ¾ slot.
Pitching: RHP. Worked from the far left corner of the rubber, stretch-only. Stayed in the rear hip-hinge with downhill actions at release. Held the arm-side of the plate at 79-80 mph (2127), hard run, mixing a killed 68-70 mph splitter for strikes.
