5/6/15 Worked very quickly and controlled the tempo of the game. Sat 81-82 with his fastball and topped at 84. Made good use of a 73-74 mph slider with good lateral bite. Also featured a 74-76 mph change up at fastball arm speed with some sink.

1/20/14 Allen ran a 7.74 60-yard dash and showcased a short swing path with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. The right-handed hitter barreled the baseball routinely out of a slightly open stance and showed good rhythm in his swing. Allen displayed a soft glove hand and the ability to play through the baseball with throws of 72 mph across the diamond. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound junior sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. His 70 mph 11/5 breaking curveball showed tight rotation and Allen commanded a 71 mph changeup at fastball arm speed.
