The outfielder takes smooth strides, gaining good ground approaching the baseball. Just needs to smoothen out his footwork transitioning into his crow hop, which is a simple fix. Left-handed hitter starts his swing from a balanced base using a good, rhythmic weight shift with his lower half to his back leg to generate power. Has a fluid load with his hands moving to his back shoulder. Swings with a level bat path through the zone, finishing with a one-handed follow through. Showed the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. Showed a good approach and balance in a game at bat, when he squared up a single to the left side of the field on a curveball. Recorded a top exit velocity of 91 mph and ran a 4.58 home to first base time.

The left-handed hitter displayed a flat bat path from a square stance with a lift and replace stride. Nixon barreled the baseball frequently to all fields during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph.
