Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot-2, 190lb frame. 7.60 runner in the 60-yard dash with developing athleticism.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, medium-postured start as the hands begin flat on the shoulder; utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate a rear-hip turned barrel through a flat path into the hitting zone. Stayed through the baseball well creating natural lift in the approach to the middle of the field (82% fly ball rate via Trackman) working his way up to a 300 foot peak batted ball distance over the course of his batting practice round. Flashed adequate bat to ball skills (62% on-plane efficiency per Blast Motion) and handled the entirety of the plate giving way to an 86 mph top bat-exit velocity.
Defensively: The primary first baseman approach with average pace from a medium postured position at the fielding window, operated right-left and presented the glove on time getting slightly narrow at times; but handled the ball smoothly with a soft glove hand funneling inward. Accurate, high ¾ slot across the diamond with medium intent (75 mph arm) and featured enough feel around the bag.
6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. The rotational hitter has more to his lower half that could lead to increased power in the coming years. Registered a bat exit velocity of 79 mph and ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Displayed solid actions around the bag at first base with accurate 69 mph arm strength across the diamond. The righty sat 74-77 off the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot. Also showed a sweeping curveball at 60-63 and command of a changeup with arm-side fade at 66-68.
