Physical: Lengthy, projectable 5-foot-11, 170lb frame. 7.59 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, slightly open stance, as the hands operated just above the shoulder to begin. Utilized a stretched lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through an uphill, rotational path into the hitting zone. Stayed behind the front hip with a clean move towards an extended two-handed finish producing a middle of the field approach during batting practice. Was under control at 290 foot batted ball distance and 86 mph bat-exit velo.
Defensively: The backstop demonstrated the feel to lead a staff during gameplay. Alternated left-knee down and traditional stances on the receive with solid pocket awareness. Pop times ranged from 2.15-2.25 with a whippy, fluid release from H ¾ slot (74 mph) and ability to be quicker out of the hand. Repeatable footwork and actions suggest above-average defensive capabilities down the road.
Physical: Lean, long-levered 5-foot-10, 160lb frame with feel for a wiry build. 7.71 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance as the hands operated loose and deep at the ear to start. Utilized a big leg kick stride and stretched move for launch, initiating through a flat path with lots of length. Found success hitting behind the ball and into a stiff front side yielding an impressive 67% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball. Posted a T86 mph bat-exit velocity with room for more as he adds strength, working up to a 271 foot batted ball distance at his peak. Mostly middle/pull-side approach and could backspin the ball occasionally when pitched above the thighs.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a moderate postured, traditional stance in the crouch, receiving adequately on the corners. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.14 with in-line replaceable feet, getting upwards at times. An accurate, shorter ¾ slot produced accurate 70 mph arm strength on the bag. Able to let length play out in front on the release, promoting additional carry.
