Physical: Athletic, lengthy, projectable 6-foot-6, 190lb frame with an extremely high ceiling.
Pitching: LHP - Began off the far left side of the rubber with a quick, immediate side rocker into a pause before lifting to a medium, hip-coiled position at the top of the stack; held pace with violent rotation into footstrike, getting over the front side at a smooth/fluid high ¾ slot. The FB dodged barrels at 83-85 mph early with big arm-side run and low-spin traits playing heavy with sink at times. Mixed a sweeping 67-69 mph CB that showed 1/7 plane when commanded, grabbing up to 12 inches of HM per Trackman Baseball. Countered with a harder 70-71 mph SL generating swing/miss at 14 inches of HM. Later added a quality 73-75 mph CH fading hard off the plate at 18 inches of HM and near-FB release height (tunnel).
2/27/21
Physically: 6’6 190lb LHP has a very good frame. Long and lanky limbs work together very nicely.
Pitching: He keeps his mechanics simple and controlled throughout the pitch. He really engages his legs as he lifts his front leg and coils his hip to generate more power. His arm is long and free flowing as he delivers the pitch. Worked a FB, SL, and CH out of a high ¾ arm slot.
