Physical: Solid and athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with length in the build. 7.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, slightly bent stance with the hands showing quick rhythm up above the ear. Utilized a leg kick stride coupled with a barrel wiggle at the top of the load to initiate a violent, flat barrel path into the hitting zone with lift after contact. Demonstrated plenty of athleticism in the lower half with a low center of gravity throughout the swing, adjustable on pitches down in the zone and created easy backspin when contacting the ball at the front of the plate. The hands worked quickly through the zone while registering a top hand speed of 22.90 mph per Blast Motion. Dead pull approach and peppered the LF wall during batting practice, recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 91 mph according to Trackman Baseball / 333 foot maximum batted ball distance.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a soft glove hand while receiving, pop times ranged from 2.00-2.06 with short and powerful straight line footwork out of a low crouch, accurate high ¾ arm-slot with quickness and advanced arm strength (medium arm circle). Moved well laterally getting around pitches on either side of the plate while blocking; glove led the way getting into the dirt early and often. C - 77 mph
5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Gets on plane early and uses a middle of the field approach. Displayed a feel for the barrel with an ability to drive both gaps. Registered a bat exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Above average defender behind the plate showed solid 77 mph arm strength from the crouch with pop times of 2.03-2.09.
