Physical: Large, projectable 6-foot-3, 205lb frame with durability.
Pitching: LHP. Southpaw begins off the arm-side of the rubber; simple delivery that repeats often from a balanced stack position at waist-height. Natural stride length out towards the plate, allowing for lower posture at release from a quick H ¾ slot. The FB worked into the zone at 80-83 mph (2111) with heavy action. Mixed a small 71-73 mph CB for strikes and flashed a developing 73-75 mph CH.
Physical: Durable, XL 6-foot-3, 250lb football frame. 8.24 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Upright, even stance, as the hands operated high at the ear to start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a whippy, slightly uphill path towards a one-handed finish on the backside. Gripped the ground, connecting well, and posted a T97 mph bat-exit velocity with feel for the middle of the field. Worked up to a 338 foot distance, flashing easy middle of the order intangibles; repeated the actions.
Defensively: The first baseman shuffled around, chopping the feet before the setup. Wider base and stayed under the ball with a flat glove hand at the window. Fielded cleanly off the middle of his body and released up to 76 mph, accurate, across the diamond.
Pitching: LHP - The southpaw begins from the right side of the rubber; quicker pace in a compact delivery and OTT slot at release. Delivered an 81-83, T84 mph FB for strikes to the arm-side and mixed a short, sweeping 1/7 CB at a 50% clip, reaching 70-71 mph on his better ones. Then added a 75-77 mph CH that showed flashes of being an out pitch to RHH if commanded.
Physical: Durable, stocky 6-foot-3, 250lb frame with imposing actions. 8.16 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH - Wider, slightly open stance, as the hands operated loosely off the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride, driving the chest downward into the zone while scissoring the backside slightly into a firm front-side. Lifted through a slightly uphill path towards a high two-handed finish promoting a 42% line drive rate during his round. Connected well and generated consistent ground power in the box en route to a T99 mph bat-exit velocity and 335 foot distance.
Defensively: The first baseman set up on time at the fielding window with a wide base and soft glove hand out in front. Shuffled accurately to the target while maintaining posture and released from a short, quick H ¾ slot across the diamond (73 mph arm, slight run).
Pitching: LHP - Set up off the glove-side of the rubber using a compact delivery with gaining pace down the slope. Worked downhill into footstrike, falling off slightly to the third base side on the finish. The FB ranged from 80-82 mph with heavy, low-spin traits to the bottom of the zone. Mixed a short, two-plane 68-70 mph breaker on a 1/7 tilt, and turned to a developing 68-70 mph CH (short action) thrown for strikes.
