Physical: 5-11, 145 pounds; Proportional, lean build. 7.93 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a moderate swing path with a a finish around the back. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are underneath the body while funneling to the hip before transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
6/21/22
Physical: Athletic 5-foot-8, 135lb build with room to fill. 8.02 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Wider, slightly open stance with repeatable hand-placement next to the ear. Utilized a stretched lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, on-plane path towards a balanced finish. Lots of adjustability in the box, able to phase into extension efficiently to all fields. Posted a T80 mph exit velo and added a 44% line drive rate during his round.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder rounded the ball at times while starting and stopping the feet. An accurate glove-hand fielded cleanly inside the frame and drove off the backside to finish across the dirt (68 mph arm). Made the play on the run accurately.
3/12/22
Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-8, 130lb frame. 8.03 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Balanced, shoulder-width stance, as the hands operated in rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards an on-plane two-handed finish. Line drives from gap to gap during his round, T76 mph bat-exit velocity.
Defensively: The middle infielder demonstrated active footwork out of a wider base. Attacked the ball with feel in the hands, funneled inward, and released from ¾ slot with pace (66 mph arm). Accurate thrower, repeated routes.
