Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Lifts hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman. Middle of the field approach with consistent line drives.
Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing a one knee approach while staying low during receiving. Hands are firm while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.21-2.26 pop times. C - 73 MPH. Displayed a quick transfer and release.
Physical: Compact, developing 5-foot-5, 135lb frame; 7.92 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow, open stance, as the hands showed minor rhythm before raising on the forward move. Utilized a leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards a high two-handed finish on the backside. Higher posture in the box, able to land on the barrel with accurate hands up to an 80 mph exit velocity via Trackman. Notched a 280 foot distance on his best blast to the LCF gap, sprayed it around the field.
Defensively: The backstop featured above-average receiving skills, framing shadow pitches, and ranged between 2.09-2.19 on pop times (70 mph arm, quick release). Worked hard to block with down angles, mechanically sound for age.
Physical: Stocky, durable 5-foot-5, 135lb frame. 8.12 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, even stance with the hands in a traditional position at the shoulder. Utilized a stretched lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Kept the front shoulder in and showed good direction towards the middle of the field. Blocked off the front side properly and recorded a 79 mph exit velocity and 73% sweet spot rate. Consistent barrels and body control present.
Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a low-pulse receive from traditional pocket awareness. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.12 with an efficient release and backside drive through the bag (72 mph arm). Moved around well in either direction during blocks with flexibility/down angles in the chest. Bounced in the prep step at shortstop with some twitch up to 78 mph across the diamond.
