Offensively: RHH. Slightly open, wider stance, as the hands operated lower at the shoulder. Utilized a leg-hang stride to initiate the swing through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Short first move, which slotted behind the ball properly, matching plane, and working high to the finish on the backside. Recorded a T85 mph bat-exit velocity during his round with a 67% sweet spot rate via Trackman.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured moderate pace with an accurate glove hand that presents itself early at the fielding window. Shuffled to the target and delivered a 75 mph throw across the dirt from H ¾ slot. Showed ability to catch as well, alternating stances with pop times ranging from 2.20-2.30 (74 mph).
Physical: Taller, high-waisted build at 5-foot-9, 150lbs. 7.46 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched stance from open, as the hands operated highly by the ear. Utilized a leg-lift stride with some hand pump action in the load, initiating the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Whippy approach towards the pull-side of the field, getting leverage at the point of attack. Blocked off the front side and recorded a T86 mph bat-exit velocity, staying on the barrel for a 67% sweet spot rate towards a high two-handed finish.
Defensively: The primary backstop is a solid defender, sitting comfortably in a traditional stance behind the plate. Quiet receiver, and pop times ranged between 1.90-1.98, replacing the feet with a fast trigger out of the glove. The arm worked short/direct up to 74 mph (accurate). Slid over to shortstop with early presentation and active footwork. Handled himself well and drove the ball across the diamond at 78 mph.
