Pitching: Uses his frame to his advantage by staying tall and pitching over the front side delaying rotation of shoulders and creating pelvic rotation earlier would result in added explosiveness. Over the top arm action with quick release. FB: T 86MPH, 80-84 MPH. Life through the zone; peak spin of 2333 RPM while averaging 2081. Showed some arm side run as well. CB: 69-73 MPH. Slurve pitch profile with swing and miss potential, will play at the next level by having more consistent movement; above average spin at 2505 RPM avg. Plus downward and horizontal action. SL: 75-77 MPH. CH 75-77 with fading action to the arm side; avg of 10.2" of run while maintaining plane.
5-foot-10, 170-pound junior sat 80-82 from an over the top arm slot. Delivery is balanced and repeatable. Commanded fastball well with late, small arm-side run. Curveball is an above average pitch with hard, late 12/6 break at 63-69. Changeup shows average arm-side fade with occasional sink at 71-73.
