Physical: Ultra-athletic 6-foot-1, 205lb frame. Attributes transfer to game. 6.70 runner in 60YD.
Offensively: RHH. Simple, upright stance, as the hands pre-set at a 45 off of the shoulder. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, repeatable path into the hitting zone. Plenty of giddy-up in the barrel, gets to a strong position at impact. Recorded a T101MPH exit velocity during one of the more impressive BP rounds.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured A/AVG feel for his body on the left side of the infield. Made plays look easy on the run with momentum towards target and a fast transfer, up to 81MPH across the dirt.
Physical: Natural maturity in his game at 6-foot-1, 195lbs with strength present. 6.87 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance with minimal extra moving parts to the stance. Utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path towards a lifted two-handed finish. Really does damage on the middle-in tiers of the plate, recording a T99 mph bat-exit velocity and 374 foot distance on his best blast, showing much improved power in the measurable department. Clean rotational athlete that matches plane up and down regardless of pitch. Has a chance to impact early at the next level.
Defensively: Smooth operator and trusted shortstop qualities with a good internal clock and attacking footwork out over the toes. The body stays forward and works with chopped feet when changing direction. Accurate 87 mph arm-strength across the diamond (full arm circle, H ¾ slot).
Physical: Strong and athletic 6-foot, 185lb frame with easy feel. The Penn State commit ran a 6.88 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, calm setup with slower rhythm in the hands lower at the shoulder. Utilized a high leg lift stride to initiate the bat through a slightly uphill, direct path into the hitting zone. Could drive the ball for extra-base hits to either gap, staying inside with hand speed/bat-speed and finishing high on the backside. Good lower half involvement, going down to get the low pitch and kept the ball on a line during his round (50% LD rate via Trackman). Produced some of his best swings to pull, driving one up to a 364 foot batted ball distance (HR juice). Showed early connection with future impact offensive skills (T96 mph bat-exit velocity).
Defensively: The primary shortstop floated around during defense, featuring both balance and tempo while releasing in rhythm at a H ¾ slot to the target (80 mph arm, moderate intent). Handled himself in space with early reads off the bat and efficient posture low to the ground.
Physical: The recent Penn State commit stands 6-foot, 185lbs with high level athleticism and strength that translates. 6.80 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, balanced stance with the hands operating smoothly off the shoulder, slightly low to start; utilized a fluid leg lift stride, getting down to the ground stretched/on-time with ability to launch quickly through a flat, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Mostly extra-base hit approach that can spray from gap to gap, mature hitter that finds the barrel often and can manipulate to any quadrant. Posted an impressive T97 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball and worked his way up to a 370 foot batted ball distance, which ranked highly amongst his peers in attendance.
Defensively: The primary shortstop is a day one starter defensively with range in either direction and a low posture and early/down chest angles on the attack. Super smooth/soft glove hand that played out in front of the toes and exchanged cleanly at the waist, operating with above-average pace and finishing with intent using an easy 85 mph arm from high-¾ slot.
