Physical: Lean, high waisted 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame with ability to continue adding strength as he matures. 7.78 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Upright stance with a slight bend in the knees from a narrow setup, the barrel started straight up and down out in front of the shoulder. Utilized a deliberate lift and replace stride while landing on the toe with a heel raise in order to initiate the hands through an athletic, flat path and into the hitting zone. Hit into a soft front side with adjustability found in the lower half allowing him to match pitch-plane in any quadrant. Repeatedly found the barrel during batting practice with a mostly middle-pull side approach, 55% fly ball rate shows just how early he turned the barrel around at the plate, the hands worked easily through extension. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 81 mph per Trackman Baseball and noticeable quickness in the hands with a 23.30 mph top hand speed at the plate according to Blast Motion. Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured active footwork that liked to create some downhill momentum towards the target, landed right-left with the feet at the fielding window in a nice and low postured setup with a soft glove hand out in front. After fielding, got rid of it in a hurry out of a high ¾ slot with a feel for transfers. Made the play on the run from a multitude of arm angles with adequate pace. INF - 70 mph Pitching: RHP - Started on the middle-left side of the rubber with a slow pace in the delivery, side rocker step into a medium-high leg lift at the top of the stack, opens the front side early before driving out but held direction well. Landed slightly tall upon footstrike while releasing through a high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 71-72 mph with command in the zone (67% zone percentage per Trackman Baseball), mixed in solid feel for a slow breaking, 57-59 mph breaker with 11/5 shape, countered with a more horizontal breaking slider getting up to 1800 max spin. Dropped in a 64-66 mph CH that showed good deception due to being thrown -7 mph off of the FB.
