10/19/13 The 5-foot-10, 215-pound two-way prospect impressed with an 85 mph arm from the outfield and the top round of batting practice on the day. The left-handed hitter utilized a powerful lower half to create barrel whip and showed power potential to all fields. Di Matteo sat 82-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm and a heavy fastball. The lefty has a strong lower body that he uses to create drive to the plate. He has a simple delivery that allows him to repeat his mechanics and showed good command of all his pitches. Di Matteo flashed a solid 1/7 breaking curveball at 72 mph with tight rotation and a changeup at 74 mph.
