Physical: Large, advanced 6-foot-4, 215-pound frame with a physical presence. 7.30 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched open stance with the hands starting high by the ear in the setup. Utilized a leg lift stride with present weight shift into the front side in order to initiate the barrel through a flat path and into the hitting zone. Liked to get leveraged at the front of the plate evidenced by a mostly middle of the field / pull-side approach during batting practice. Though a 67% groundball rate dominated the swing outcomes, he still kept it on a line 33% of the time and a 42% hard hit rate (batted balls over 90 mph) will certainly play. A 28 mph hand speed at the plate ranked in the top two at the event as did a 79 mph bat speed per Blast Motion pointing towards sneaky power ability down the line if the launch angle can improve. Was up to a peak bat-exit velocity of 94 mph according to Trackman Baseball with room for more.
Defensively: The third baseman worked with impressive athleticism at the hot corner gaining ground with long strides and quality feel while playing low to the ground. Beat the ball to the spot and let the glove hand play through the ball on short hops having no issues in the transfer phase before letting it rip from a high ¾ slot. Accurate throws across the diamond (75 mph).
