Has very good bat speed. Best home-to-1B time today was 4.31. Infield actions have improved significantly, although still likely ticketed for outfield.

2/15/14 Malloy is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior with a broad shouldered, physical frame. He registered a 4.06 home-to-1B time and showed good carry on throws of 84 mph from the outfield. Malloy has a very aggressive approach at the plate, creating excellent barrel whip from a square stance. He showcased a bat exit velocity of 94 mph and the ability to drive the baseball routinely to all fields.

8/3/13 Malloy is solidly built at 6-foot, 180-pounds and runs a 7.00 60-yard dash. He showcased an 82 mph throwing arm from the outfield and a 91 mph bat exit velocity. Malloy had a successful weekend at the plate going 3-for-6 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.

6/12/13 Malloy is an athletic 6-foot, 180-pound OF that showcased an 82 mph arm with good carry on throws to home plate. The right-handed hitter had one of the most solid rounds of batting practice at the event, barreling the baseball from gap-to-gap with a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Malloy went 1-for-5 in game play and showed a solid approach at the plate with the ability to be a middle of the order hitter.

1/26/13 Malloy was one of the most impressive position players at the event. The 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore showed athletic actions in the outfield with an 81 mph throwing arm. He also showcased one of the top bat exit velocities on the day at 91 mph. Malloy displayed very quick hands and the ability to consistently drive the baseball during his round of batting practice. With slight adjustments to his lower half, he could develop legitimate power in his swing.
