Crouched, open stance, as the hands start pre-set above the shoulder; utilized a lift and replace stride back to even while unleashing the barrel through a slightly uphill path into the zone for distance to the pull-side. Heavy contact at the front of the plate and T89 mph bat-exit velocity at 338 feet per Trackman. Room to get into the lower half even more, additional power coming.
Defensively: The backstop is a big target to throw to, but also shows soft hands at the catch point with pocket awareness. Pop times hovered around 2.10 seconds, up to 76 mph from the crouch out of a whippy slot. Blocked with down angles around the plate.
