Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance with the hands starting at shoulder height as the barrel points upwards. Quick, short lift and replace stride as the hands worked short through a flat path and into the hitting zone. Generated a 58.3% line drive rate during his BP round with adjustability in the lower half. Recorded an 86 mph peak bat-exit velocity according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate receiving skills, pop times ranged from 2.38-2.46 using average straight line footwork with momentum over the toes, got away from the backside slightly early (drive leg) leading to a 67 mph throwing arm from the crouch, feel for lateral movements when blocking .. The third baseman played moderately low to the ground in the approach with a soft glove hand working off of the toes. Ability to range to the glove side with a short, high ¾ arm slot on the release.
