Physical: The recent Elon commit stands a strong, athletic 6-foot-3, 205lbs with plenty of power available. 7.36 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Imposing presence starting from a wide, even base as the hands stayed quiet on the shoulder to begin. Utilized a short lift and replace stride turning the barrel loudly over the backside producing flush contact through a slightly uphill path. Showed natural connection at the plate with big-time results; posted a 63% line drive rate via Trackman featuring ready bat to ball skills and notched a 75% hard hit rate. Delivered multiple ringing barrels off the LCF wall to the tune of 95 mph bat-exit velocities, pointing towards home run juice to the pull-side (near 360 foot batted ball distance) and middle of the order consideration.
Defensively: The primary third baseman featured a feel for the game, working right to left down to the baseball and presented a soft glove hand on time from an athletic, wide base with chest over toes. Funneled softly and maintained positive shuffles towards the target releasing from a strong, H ¾ slot to the target (88 mph arm, carry).
6-foot, 150-pound right-handed hitter oozes projection with a long, athletic frame that has plenty of room to fill out. He starts from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Hands work well through contact to a high finish leading to consistent back spin. Registered a 73 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Moves well defensively with a soft glove hand and athleticism to all of his actions. Showcased accurate 81 mph arm strength across the diamond. The two-way prospect sat 78-80 on the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Arm action is short in back and long out front. Fastball showed occasional hard arm-side run while changeup at 68-70 displayed similar movement. Curveball at 67-70 showed consistent 11/5 rotation with late bite.
