Physical: Athletic, high ceiling 6-foot-2, 175lb frame. 7.00 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, even stance with early rhythm at the plate. Utilized a leg-hang with some weight shift into the front side to initiate the swing through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Showed off a whippy one-handed finish and slotted the barrel repeatedly for a T87 mph bat-exit velocity during his round. Lofted approach at times, hitting fly balls at a 56% rate via Trackman.
Defensively: The outfielder flashed corner appeal and demonstrated the ability to round the ball with a soft glove hand. Arm-talent stood out amongst his class, grabbing an 85 mph bullet positionally before taking the mound.
Pitching: RHP. There’s some life out of the hand from a simple delivery. Long arms work downhill over the front side at release from H ¾ slot on a 79-81 mph FB. Mixed a developing curveball into the upper-60’s and added a quality 68-70 mph split that he threw with confidence.
Physical: Projectable athlete at 6-foot-2, 170lbs and more to come. 7.24 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Open, calm stance with a loose handed start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Feel for the top hand, but loses the front side at times. Able to keep the ball on a line using a high two-handed finish on the backside, recording a T83 mph bat-exit velocity during his round. Moderate effort and a singles approach to the pull-side of the field.
Defensively: The outfielder raced downhill with above-average pace. Fielded off his left when rounding the ball, driving the chest over the toes. Funneled cleanly with a smooth exchange, lengthy H ¾ slot at release (78 mph arm, accurate).
Pitching: RHP - The right handed pitcher started off the middle of the rubber with a slow, momentum building delivery. Got to a balanced stack and created good tilt on the ball from H ¾ slot. Athleticism flashing and worked 78-80 mph with some ride traits up in the zone. Mixed a short, 11/5 shaped CB (upper 60’s) and tunneled a low-spin 68-70 mph CH out of the same window.
Physical: 6-foot-0, 155 pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.42 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a downward swing path with a high finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 70 MPH.
Pitching: Butler uses an arm side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while showing some scap load, while working through a high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 79 MPH, while sitting 77-79 MPH; straight action. CB: 67-68 MPH; showed depth. CH: 69-71 MPH; fading action.
