The right-handed hitter begins with a crouched, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed fluidity in the lower half allowing for a slightly uphill barrel path through the hitting zone yielding consistent lift to the pull side gap. Recorded an 88 mph bat-exit velocity with advanced barrel control that should only continue to rise as he matures. The primary backstop showcased solid receiving skills with minimal glove hand sway at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.05-2.09 on accurate throws of 73 mph from the crouch out of a high ¾ arm-slot. Showed off quality straight line footwork and smooth, repeatable transfers creating some fluidity in the arm-speed. Demonstrated advanced blocking ability beating the ball to the spot and creating soft walls on both sides of the plate.
