Physical: Strong, athletic 6-foot, 200lb frame with lots of PWR/durability in the movements. 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Started out of a balanced, bent stance with rhythmic hands flat above the shoulder to start; utilized a barrel-tip on time with a short lift and replace stride in order to initiate the bat head through a flat, high postured position into the hitting zone. Hit into a stiff front-side allowing for leverage and whippy barrel actions at the front of the plate (T95 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman, 275 foot batted ball distance). Added a 38% fly ball rate pointing towards a lofty approach through the LCF side of the field with ability to handle pitches with good success out over the plate. Developing middle of the order skillset as he continues refinement.
Defensively: The primary third baseman featured rangy actions with rangy footwork in either direction. Found his spot and beat the ball there with a soft glove hand playing downhill/out in front of the body. Clean exchanges and feel for pace on a quicker release from a low ¾ slot (77 mph arm). The size may offer a chance to move across to first base as well down the road, though he can handle his own at the hot corner.
