10/19/13 Monteith is a 6-foot, 220-pound right-handed hitter that utilizes a high hands load and a strong lower half to create barrel whip. He hits from a slightly open stance with a lift and replace stride foot. Monteith barreled the baseball consistently in batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. He gets to extension well and drives the baseball to both gaps. Monteith moves well around the bag at 1B and showed the ability to make all plays.

9/8/13 Monteith is 6-foot, 220-pound corner infielder that hits from a slightly open stance and utilizes a lift and replace stride foot. He showcased good extension to his swing and the ability to use all fields with a bat exit velocity of 88 mph. Monteith went 2-for-7 at the plate at Misericordia Unviversity and Mansfield University. He displayed a soft glove hand and a 72 mph arm across the diamond from 1B.
